For our last discussion in the summer semester, we were able to win Dr Tanja Korzer for our discussion series. The architect and commercial property economist worked from 1998-2001 as a research assistant at HTWK Leipzig and from 2003 to 2019 at Leipzig University (from 2014 as Managing Academic Assistant at the Institute for Urban Development and Construction (ISB)). As a scientist and architect, she has already gained a lot of professional experience within and outside the academic landscape. Since 2019, she has expanded her range of activities as an employee at |u|m|s| STADTSTRATEGIEN and Head of the Specialist Centre for Integrated Community Development Saxony (since 2024). Tanja Korzer is a board member of the German Academy for Urban and Regional Planning / Central Germany regional group. We are delighted to talk to her about her career decisions, professional experiences and current day-to-day work.
