Pro.Innovation aims to improve the planning, recruitment, and retention of highly qualified professorial staff in forward-looking research areas at HTWK Leipzig. By establishing multiple innovation professorships, newly appointed staff will have the opportunity to actively shape their research field, advance high-quality research, and expand scientific networks.
As part of this program, three strategically oriented innovation professorships will be filled ahead of schedule. The target group includes scientists as well as excellent, appointable candidates from industry. Funding is provided through the project "Science_Careers: Promoting Careers. Attracting Talent" until the end of 2028.
Additionally, participation in training measures in areas such as didactics, research, and academic leadership is planned to strengthen the newly appointed staff in their roles. The distribution of the teaching duties of retiring professors ensures that teaching continues at a high level and new impulses are introduced.
